Welcome to Armstrong Garden Centers, Irvine

Manager Scott Sorenson

I began my journey with Armstrong Garden Centers, an Employee Owned Company, in February 2017 and have been a part of the horticulture industry for over 20 years. The best thing about my job are the customers. I really enjoy helping our guests transform their yard and home into their dream vision.

My favorite plant group is Citrus and I have many Citrus varieties growing in both containers and landscape. Citrus come in so many varieties and flavors and I enjoy growing what I can eat. During my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife of over 30 years. We enjoy gardening together in our own garden and when we are feeling a little competitive, playing some tennis.

Here at Armstrong in Irvine you will find so many unique and different varieties of bedding plants, trees and shrubs, pottery, gift and décor, and all you garden solutions all in one place. I would like to invite everyone to visit our Irvine location. Come relax and enjoy our garden experience while listening to classical music and the soothing sounds of our many fountains. If there is an opportunity to answer any questions, or help with any specific issues or situations, our team is always at the ready.

This location has the friendliest staff of all the Armstrong's that I frequently attend. Tonya is by far the nicest, and most helpful of them all. I was surprised to find out she was a manager, because usually managers are always in the back, too busy, or shove you off to someone else. She has helped me many times from choosing the right plants, looking up certain types of flowers, to carrying heavy pots into my car.Thank you Irvine Armstrong!!!

I had pictures of three desert plants that I was having trouble identifying even after scouring the internet. I walked into Armstrong and Dianne, very willingly, helped me right away. Twice.

It was hard to tell what the succulents were because they had recently been planted and were still in their infant stage. She took the time and effort to look online, and ask one of her co-workers for confirmation. She was so very helpful in identifying each plant's genus (she knows her stuff!).
